University of Illinois Fire Service Institute Award

Pictured are Dennis Spice and Jim Keiken of the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute presenting an award to Mike Bryant and Brent Richards of Bryant Industries in recognition of Bryant Industries' status as an IFSI Partner.  Bryant Industries donates nearly 200 cars annually to IFSI to be used in the training of Illinois firefighters and other first responders.

From the IFSI website: "Today's firefighters and other first responders face rapidly changing challenges in their work for the public.  They're being called upon to deal with a host of unconventional hazards and rescue situations, and to succeed, they must adapt quickly to new equipment and technologies.

"To prepare for these responsibilities, firefighters need intensive, continuous training in settings that replicate real-life situations.  Every year, more than 50,000 students count on the University of Illinois Fire Service Institute (IFSI) to help them respond to these challenges."
